Do You Think of Your Pet When Buying a New Home?

When pet owners look for a new home, it’s very important to choose a home that will accommodate your entire family, including your four-legged kids.  If you have a door-dasher , then a home close to any busy streets would be a bad choice.  Just as  humans age, making stairs difficult to navigate, we have the same issue.  Elderly dogs do much better in a single level home or take into consideration how you make your multi-story home comfortable for your aging friend.   If you’re not willing to renovate, make sure your new home has durable flooring that is easy to keep clean and we won’t damage with our nails.  Large and very active breeds do best with a yard large enough for us to play and run and a dog door is a must if we are we are left home alone for extended periods of time.  We love neighborhoods that have a park for a walk or a game of fetch when you get home from work.  For those of us who love other dogs, we love to have neighbors with friends we can spend a play date romping  together.

My mom and dad let clients take their dogs with them to view a home to make sure their pet approves.  Because when Fido’s happy…..everybody is happy!
